About This Place

Located in the heart of Jamaica, NY, Nuria's Restaurant offers an authentic taste of Central American cuisine that delights locals and visitors alike. This vibrant eatery specializes in a variety of Salvadoran and regional dishes that burst with rich, homemade flavors crafted from traditional recipes. Whether you’re craving the iconic pupusas—plump handmade masa tortillas generously stuffed with melted cheese, beans, and pork rinds (revueltas)—or the comforting warmth of their tamales with salsa, every bite feels like a celebration of culinary heritage.

The menu is a treasure trove for food lovers seeking bold, satisfying meals. Start with the tantalizing shrimp cocktail de camarones or savor the heartiness of the tostada de pollo and tamal de pollo. For those who enjoy grilled delights, the parrillada mixta and carne asada are exquisitely seasoned and cooked to perfection, pairing wonderfully with addictively crispy yuca frita. Seafood lovers will appreciate the extensive selection of mariscos priced reasonably, including the delicate mojarra entomatada and the flavorful camaron a la plancha. Don't miss the hearty extras like orden extra de carne de sopa and generous servings of frijol guisado, which complement the main dishes beautifully.

The dining experience at Nuria’s is enhanced by an inviting, warm atmosphere where guests feel welcome from the moment they step inside. Customers often praise not only the food but also the genuine hospitality and attentive service that makes every visit special. Best pupusas in queens! Their typical dishes are okay. I'm definitely a fan of their typical breakfast. The atmosphere and the service are fantastic. It used to be cash only but now you can pay both cash and card.

Great refried beans with plainteen, avocado, scrambled eggs with tomato and white sauce, very tasteful and mouthwatering good! The flavors are very juicy and always a great bite to grab on the go! Don't forget to ask for the white cheese, tortilla and sauce! Also, the mora (blackberry shake) drink is delicious!!!

We were a group of 5: 2 seniors, 2 adults and 1 child. The atmosphere is great, the food is delicious and the service excellent. We have eaten Ethiopian food many times and Nuria would not leave you disappointed. We had a wonderful experience. The kid said:” I could eat this kind of food every day”. This says it all.

The owners was so kind and greeted us quickly and offered such amiable service. Have to try the pupusas here. We tried both corn and rice and corn is definitely more traditional and preferable to my taste but great to try the rice as well. We were given an horchata on this hot day which was perfect and refreshing while creamy.
